Dr. Kim Nichelini (“Dr. Kim”) was born in San Francisco and raised in the East Bay. She grew up riding horses, competing in Dressage, and tending to the many animals of her family’s small farm.

Dr. Kim studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she worked part-time as a dental assistant during her studies and fell in love with the field. Dr. Kim moved east and was awarded her D.M.D. degree cum laude at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kim then completed a one-year General Practice Residency treating patients with special behavioral and medical needs at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Finally, she completed and a two-year pediatric dentistry specialty training program treating infants, children and adolescents at the Columbia University New York Presbyterian Medical Center.

Dr. Kim is thrilled to be back in California after six cold years on the east coast and has happily settled in Napa with her husband Jeff, puppy Lula and new baby boy Davin. Dr. Kim is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry and serves on the Board of the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the Napa Solano Dental Society and maintains hospital privileges with Kaiser.

In her spare time she enjoys participating in community and global health mission trips, and has provided dental services in Guatemala, Cambodia, Peru, Cabo Verde, Belize, Haiti and Zambia so far. She loves Harry Potter, roller coasters, animal anything, Star Wars (especially baby Yoda), traveling, running, biking, hiking, and baking.
